It’s crucial that Nevada revamp the emergency powers that are granted to our governor (Sunday editorial). Gov. Steve Sisolak still continues to cling to those powers after two long years. I
It says something very unflattering about the governor that he prefers a “one man rules” form of governance. Our Legislature must act to place reasonable limits on emergency powers.
We need to break out of the stupid pattern. We are turning people into idiots.
If you’re tired of walking past people in crisis and pretending it’s not your problem, speak up. Demand more from city, county and state officials.
Since corporate America has taken over the Strip, greed has come back to bite them.
