LETTER: Gun rights for 18-year-olds?

In response to the May 25 letter “Gun bills” from John Carrier:

Any 18-year-old American citizen is old enough to fight and die for our country and therefore should be granted all the privileges of any adult citizen. In America, we have the only Constitution in the world that protects the people from the government. Sadly, we have a political party that doesn’t support it. Thank God we have a governor who does.
