LETTER: Virus containment demands non-smoking casinos

In the MGM Resorts plan for reopening, company officials say they have reviewed their ventilation systems “to identify additional opportunities to enhance their effectiveness” to help mitigate the risk of virus transmission. Because many experts believe that the virus can be transmitted from cigarette smoke, a casino smoking ban should be in place to mitigate the risk of virus transmission and make for a safer reopening.
