Rounding up Death Valley burros because they’re not native?

I read with interest the Friday story “Deal inked to round up wild burros.” A park ranger noted that the animals are not native to Death Valley and that they damage springs and vegetation and compete for food and water.

Humans are not native to the Mojave Desert, either. Yet they make themselves at home there and compete for food and water. Maybe it’s time to round them all up and relocate them.
