Diego Magdaleno headlines Top Rank boxing card in Texas

Las Vegas lightweight Diego Magdaleno returns to the ring Friday, meeting Jose Gonzalez in the main event of Top Rank’s boxing card in Hidalgo, Texas.
Magdaleno (27-1, 11 knockouts) last fought Nov. 8, when he stopped Hevinson Herrera in the third round. Gonzalez (24-1, 19 KOs) defeated Marvin Quintero on April 11 in his most recent bout.
The 12-round bout, for the vacant World Boxing Organization international lightweight title, will be televised on truTV on taped delay at 10 p.m.
