Canucks center Sedin nets Hart Trophy

Henrik Sedin became the first player in the 40-year history of the Vancouver Canucks to capture the Hart Trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player on Wednesday at the league's awards show at The Pearl inside the Palms.

The center garnered 46 first-place votes and 894 points to edge Washington Capitals left wing and two-time defending Hart Trophy winner Alex Ovechkin, who received 40 first-place votes and 834 points.
