Golden Knights announce jersey numbers for inaugural season

The Golden Knights announced their players’ jersey numbers Wednesday for the expansion team’s inaugural season.

Many of the players maintained their number from their previous team, including forwards James Neal (No. 18) and Jonathan Marchessault (No. 81) and defenseman Nate Schmidt (No. 88).

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury’s No. 29 was previously released.

Forward Reilly Smith will wear No. 19 with the Knights after having No. 18 in Florida.
