Golden Knights’ Engelland helps kids with street hockey skills

Updated July 24, 2018 - 8:29 pm

Kids got a chance to learn from Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Deryk Engelland during a street hockey clinic the team hosted Tuesday at Paradise Recreation Center.

They also got to meet another Knights favorite — Chance, the team mascot

The Golden Knights have been hosting street hockey clinics at summer camps throughout the Las Vegas Valley, with the last one scheduled for Aug. 1.

The team’s youth hockey staff members cover the basics of street hockey and run station-based drills covering stick handling, passing and shooting, followed by scrimmages.
