A day after announcing the hirings of Bruno Campese as an amateur scout and Vaughn Karpan as director of player personnel, Las Vegas’ NHL expansion team added another name to its rapidly-growing staff.
Mike Levine is joining the team in the scouting/player development department, leaving his job as an assistant coach at Brown University, where he has been since 2013.
Prior to taking his job at Brown, Levine was the head coach at Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire for two years. Before that, he was an assistant coach at Utica College in New York, his alma mater.
In the release announcing his hiring, the new franchise touted Levine’s “reputation as a successful recruiter based on his proven record at both the collegiate and prep school levels.”
