Former champ Rockhold won’t take a fight until the ‘money is right’

Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is more than happy to use his good looks to make a living.

He’s still more than willing to take a fight, but the process of getting back to the cage could get a bit ugly.

Rockhold, who lost his belt to Michael Bisping in June, is an aspiring model who is featured on the cover of the new issue of “At Large” magazine.

The 31-year-old Californian attended Fashion Week in New York last week where he said he was weighing several potentially lucrative deals.

Rockhold says he has also been offered a fight by the UFC, but wasn’t pleased with the terms and plans on turning it down.

He explained the decision in a video posted on his Snapchat story.

“Look, a lot of people are asking, ‘When are you going to fight?’” he said. “I might have a bout agreement in the mail, but the money is (expletive). When the money’s right, I’ll be ready to fight.”

Bisping will defend the title for the first time against Dan Henderson in the main event of UFC 204 on Oct. 8 in Manchester, England. It is believed the UFC planned for Rockhold to fight one of the other top contenders at UFC 205 in New York on Nov. 12 with a possible shot at the belt on the line.
