Another intriguing fight has been added to what is expected to be one of the biggest Ultimate Fighting Championship cards of the year.
Nate Diaz will return to welterweight to fight Matt Brown at UFC 189 on July 11 at the MGM Grand Garden.
Diaz has fought at lightweight since 2011 and lost a decision to then-champion Benson Henderson in a title fight in 2012. That defeat began a stretch of three losses in four fights for Diaz.
Brown has lost two consecutive fights since winning seven straight.
Another welterweight, Mike Swick, also has been added to the card. Swick, whose last fight resulted in a knockout loss to Brown in December 2012, will fight Alex Garcia.
The event is headlined by a featherweight title fight between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo. Also, Robbie Lawler will defend the welterweight belt against Rory MacDonald.
