Ole Miss DT Nkemdiche in stable condition after falling from hotel window

Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche fell from a hotel window but was in stable condition in the hospital, according to the Atlanta Police Department on Sunday.

Nkemdiche fell from a fourth-floor window on Saturday night and sustained multiple cuts in the incident, multiple outlets reported Sunday.

Nkemdiche was conscious and breathing when officers responded to the incident, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Officers found a small amount of what was suspected to be marijuana in the hotel room, according to police. GI Squad and a Narcotics Unit responded to the scene with a Crime Scene Unit, according to a report released Sunday and published my multiple outlets.

"It appears that the victim broke the window and then walked approximately 15 feet and climbed over a wall and fell approximately 15 feet," according to the report.

Nkemdiche, a junior, has recorded 29 tackles and three sacks this season. Nkemdiche was named Sunday to the AP All-American second team. He missed two games for the Rebels this season after he sustained a concussion against Memphis on Oct. 17.

Nkemdiche is ranked the No. 4 2016 draft prospect overall by NFLDraftScout.com.

Mississippi will play Oklahoma State in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1.
