Twins outfielder has meltdown after being ejected — VIDEO

Torii Hunter is regarded as one of the good guys in the game of baseball, but that doesn’t mean the Minnesota Twins outfielder won’t have an occasional meltdown.

After striking out on a called third strike by home plate umpire Mark Ripperger in the eighth inning of Wednesday’s 7-2 loss to the Royals, Hunter tore into Ripperger, who promptly ejected him from the game.

Twins manager Paul Molitor came out of the dugout to protest the call and he was quickly tossed as well.

Hunter then started getting undressed for his postgame shower, removing his elbow pad and shin guard and flinging them on the field before doing the same thing with his batting gloves. The veteran then took off his jersey and threw it across the infield before heading to the clubhouse.
