5 San Diego State players to watch against UNLV

Five San Diego State football players to watch when UNLV plays the Aztecs at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium:
1. Running back Rashaad Penny, senior. Is receiving consideration for the Heisman Trophy. Has rushed for at least 100 yards in all five games, the first Aztec to open a season with that streak since Marshall Faulk in 1992. Second nationally with 823 yards rushing and tied for first with 10 total touchdowns.
2. Cornerback Kameron Kelly, senior. Does a little bit of everything. Has recorded 28 tackles, including three for loss and two sacks. Also has intercepted two passes and broken up two others to go with a forced fumble. Is a converted safety.
3. Defensive end Noble Hall, junior. Leads the Aztecs with 5.5 tackles for loss and is second with 2.5 sacks. His 1.1 tackles for loss average is tied for sixth in the Mountain West.
4. Quarterback Christian Chapman, junior. Is 18-3 in his career as a starter, and this season is completing 64.1 percent of his passes for 796 yards and seven touchdowns, with just one interception.
5. Cornerback Ron Smith, sophomore. Tops San Diego State with five pass breakups, and has two interceptions as well. Also is fourth on the team with 27 tackles and second in the conference with 1.4 passes defended per game.
