Ex-UNLV running back David Peeples died from drug OD, coroner says

The Clark County coroner’s office on Thursday said former UNLV running back David Peeples died of an accidental prescription drug overdose.
Peeples, 29, also known as “D-Peeps,” died Feb. 25 at Mountain View Hospital. He overdosed on hydrocodone, a painkiller found in prescriptions such as Vicodin.
Peeples played football at Cheyenne High School and at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he studied criminal justice.
