Two-star cornerback from Texas commits to UNLV

Tykenzie Daniels, a two-star cornerback from Foster High School in Richmond, Texas, a suburb of Houston, verbally committed to UNLV on Monday night following his official weekend visit to the school.

The 5-foot-11-inch, 177-pound Daniels also had scholarship offers from Army, New Mexico, Lamar, Northwestern State and Sam Houston State.

The Rebels, who had 24 scholarships available, signed eight junior college transfers in December and have a dozen verbal commitments in advance of national signing day on Feb. 3.

Daniels is one of 11 high school seniors to commit to UNLV. Evan Pantels, a punter and kicker from Georgia Military (Junior) College in Milledgeville, Ga., also has committed to the Rebels.
