UNLV football game at UCLA on Sept. 10 gets official start time

UNLV’s first football visit to UCLA on Sept. 10 will be a 5 p.m. kickoff, the schools announced Wednesday.

The game also will be televised by the Pac-12 Network, which is carried by Cox Cable and Dish in the Las Vegas area. It is the first time UNLV has ever played on the channel.

It is UNLV’s first trip to UCLA and Rose Bowl in program history and the first trip to the Los Angeles area since the Rebels played at USC in 1997. The schools met last season at Sam Boyd Stadium with UCLA winning 37-3. It was the first time the schools had ever played each other.

This year’s start time gives the Rebels six of 12 games with announced television assignments. UNLV will meet Boise State on Nov. 18 on ESPN2. CBS Sports Network and the ESPN Networks have also selected two additional games each. Games broadcasted by ROOT SPORTS, Mountain West Network and Oceanic Time Warner Cable are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
