A venomous albino cobra is loose in SoCal

Police have called off the hunt (for now) for a venomous, “very dangerous” albino cobra that has been loose for days in the LA area.

The cobra bit a greyhound named Kiko on Monday afternoon before going on to elude Animal Services officers for two days, at which point they called the search off.

“There’s not a whole lot at this point we can do,” wildlife officer Dennis Rosenburg told CBS Los Angeles.

Kiko was taken to the vet and expected to make a full recovery.
