Ahhh, the feel of newsprint and ink

It's a beautiful Christmas Eve morning in Las Vegas, punctuated by the time for a stout cup of coffee and the feel of actual newspapers in my hand.
Call me old-fashioned, but there's still nothing like holding a newspaper in the morning sun and leisurely reading the news of the day.
This morning it was the Las Vegas Review-Journal first (of course) followed by the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. All still can be delivered to your home in Las Vegas.
Because I do a lot of traveling these days, I've been getting my news online. And while it is effective, it is not satisfying in the way of a physical newspaper. Reading news online is like what I imagine chain-smoking cigarettes is like.
But reading the newspaper with newsprint in hand is like smoking a fine cigar. It's slower, more introspective and far more thoughtful.
I can't think of a way for newspapers to evolve online to duplicate that feeling, but if they do ... I'm in.
