Police in Florida have made an arrest in the beating of a 16-year-old boy with autism.
The Okeechobee Police Department arrested Andrew Wheeler, 18, who the report says was at a party on Aug. 8.
According to NBC Miami, the boy who was beaten was told to go outside. When he refused, Wheeler came over and began beating him. The incident was recorded on video.
The video shows the boy being punched in the head while others stood by. He was eventually chased outside and told to leave.
The New York Daily News reported the boy had been drinking and had passed out for a time. He later told police that he had been choked and a knife had been held to his throat.
Police added that a parent was home at the time and an additional arrest has been made on a charge of contributing to delinquency of a minor.
