Builder provides affordable homes

Las Vegas-based Harmony Homes is offering residences starting at $80 per square foot. The builder has four new collections in northwestern Las Vegas.

"Our philosophy is to offer the best price for the best house," said Eric Stafford, vice president of construction for Harmony Homes. "We make it easier than ever to buy a new home instead of settling for a resale or foreclosure," he said. "We know that there are thousands of foreclosed properties available right now, but that many buyers don't want to buy a home with an unknown history. Our new homes are competitively priced among foreclosures in the area without the unknowns of their past history. That peace of mind is critical to our residents."

Among the builder's new developments is Harmony Pointe, located in the northwest, near the new Deer Springs Town Center.

"This center is similar to Boca Park in Summerlin or The District in Henderson with a collection of great shopping and dining opportunities," Stafford said. "Stores like Kohl's are already open and Target and Toys R Us are scheduled to open this spring."

Harmony Pointe is a collection of 95 homes in four floor plans ranging from 1,749 to 3,115 square feet. The gated neighborhood features two park areas exclusive to residents, a tot lot and volleyball pit, which are under construction.

Home prices start in the $180,000s and special incentives are currently being offered, according to Stafford.

"For a limited time, Harmony Homes is offering to pay up to 3 percent of closing costs to new home buyers," sales manager Lorne Wilson said. "We also have a zero down program for qualified buyers. We go to great lengths to make the process of buying a new home as easy as possible."

Plan A and Plan B at Harmony Pointe are single-story floor plans with three bedrooms, two baths, dining room, family room and two-car garage. Plan A also includes a den or optional fourth bedroom and a formal living room.

Plan C is a two-story, 2,893-square-foot home with four bedrooms, 21/2 baths, family room, dining room, living room and a two-car garage. This home provides options for a bonus room in lieu of the fourth bedroom, a kitchen island and a covered patio.

Plan D, at 3,115 square feet, includes four bedrooms, three baths, family room, living room, dining room, kitchen nook with a walk-in pantry, an extended loft and a three-car garage. Options with Plan D include a kitchen island, covered patio or deck and five or six bedrooms.

"Included features like granite countertops in the kitchen and cultured marble in the baths have been very well received," Wilson said. Other standard features at Harmony Pointe include landscaped common areas, finished garages, ceiling fan prewiring and cable outlets in bedrooms and family rooms/dens, upstairs laundry rooms, rear-yard barbecue stubs, oak cabinetry and walk-in closets. Options with the homes include additional bedrooms, kitchen islands and covered patios or decks, per plan.

Harmony Homes is selling homes in four Las Vegas neighborhoods -- Harmony Pointe, Harmony Springs, Harmony Heights and Harmony Sands.

Prices start in the $150,000s and sizes range from 1,286 to 3,115 square feet. All Harmony Homes are Energy Star compliant and there are no LIDs or SIDs.
