This family-operated cafe is all about family and good country food. Is there anything better? Breakfast is served daily until 3 p.m. and features three-egg omelets such as Denver, veggie, sausage and cheese, and the Wisconsin made with Swiss, jack and cheddar. There are hotcakes, French toast, eggs with pork chops, corned beef hash or rib-eye steak, breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy. Popular sandwiches are BLT, triple club, grilled ham and cheese, rib-eye steak with grilled onions on French roll, hot pastrami with Swiss on grilled rye, patty melt, spicy chicken, white albacore tuna on sourdough, and one-third pound Country Burgers (chili, Cowboy, California, mushroom Swiss, classic cheese) on toasted sesame bun with fries or homemade potato or macaroni salad. Among the hearty platter entrees, served with mashed potatoes, fries, baked potato or rice pilaf, vegetable and soup or dinner salad, are chicken fried steak, fried chicken, 16-ounce bone-in ham steak, fried jumbo shrimp and 10-ounce burger steak. There are soups, chili, Country Nachos, fish and chips, chicken wings, chicken quesadilla, zucchini chips and salads such as tuna, chicken Caesar and chef. Omelets begin at $8.49 and sandwiches at $4.49. Our Families Country Cafe is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
