Female CEO says hormones, biblical reasons mean women shouldn’t be president

The female CEO of a Texas marketing company is under fire this week after saying that “hormones” and “biblical sound reasoning” should disqualify a woman from being president.

After Hillary Clinton’s Sunday announcement to run for president, Cheryl Rios of Go Ape Marketing posted her opinion on Facebook.

“If this happens – I am moving to Canada. There is NO need for her as she is not the right person to run our country – but more importantly a female shouldn’t be president. Let the haters begin … but with the hormones we have there is no way we should be able to start a war,” Rios wrote, per CBS Dallas.

“Yes I run my own business and I love it and I am great at it BUT that is not the same as being the President, that should be left to a man, a good, strong, honorable man.”

CBS Dallas caught up with Rios, where she defended her post.

“We’re built differently, we have different hormones,” she told them. “In the world we live in, we have equal rights … and I support all of that. I don’t support a woman being President.”

Rios took to Twitter Tuesday to further defend her opinion on the matter, “I am old fashioned, I am Christian and believe what I have said.”

Some have responded to her tweet to support her, while others are criticizing her.
