Hobby Lobby opening second Las Vegas store

Hobby Lobby will soon be opening its second Las Vegas store.

The arts and crafts store will celebrate its opening with a ceremony Aug. 10 at the 55,000-square-foot facility at 6361 N. Decatur Blvd.

The store is the fourth Hobby Lobby in Nevada. Others include a second store in Las Vegas that opened in 2012 and stores in Reno and Henderson.

Hobby Lobby Assistant Vice President of Advertising John Schumacher said the newest Las Vegas store is a place for the whole family.

"We are pleased to supply the community’s demand for the one-of-a-kind shopping experience only Hobby Lobby can provide," he said.

A spokesperson for the new Hobby Lobby store said the site will have 30 to 50 employees.

Hobby Lobby, headquartered in Oklahoma City, has more than 650 stores across the country. The first Las Vegas store was the company's 500th store.
