Lexus gives car service tips to women
December 27, 2013 - 10:14 am
Thirty-one women and their guests recently attended the first of several planned “Ladies Night Out” events by Lexus of Las Vegas in which they learned about vehicle technology, how to repair brakes, change oil and other important maintenance tips necessary to keep a Lexus vehicle running in tiptop shape.
Technicians and staff members also explained and displayed the difference between brand-new brake pads and worn brake pads and rotors, so customers could discuss how to recognize brake noises and the importance of not delaying brake repairs.
The difference between dirty oil and other dirty vehicle fluids were also demonstrated and discussed so the women could understand how these factors affect a vehicle’s performance.
Courtney Lafayette, vehicle delivery specialist, explained how to pair smartphones with Lexus vehicles and ways to use the Lexus eDestination navigation system.
Andrea Gillman, public relations and inventory manager, demonstrated how to change a tire.
Chef Claude Cevasco prepared hors d’oeuvres and desserts that were paired with Champagne.
Prize drawings were held that featured a variety of gifts, including a gift certificate from Panevino restaurant.
Shirts were designed specifically for the event and were presented to each guest along with a gift bag of specially selected items.
“This was an opportunity for Lexus ladies to get to know other women who own Lexus vehicles,” said Alicia Irwin, sales and leasing consultant. “The event also helped educate our female customers about simple maintenance requirements and to make them feel more comfortable around their vehicles. When our customers understand the latest technology Lexus has to offer, ownership of their vehicles is much more satisfying. This event also gives our dealership an opportunity to build a deeper relationship with our customers.”
Female Lexus owners were encouraged to bring friends to “Ladies Night Out.” All attendees received a complimentary car wash, which was done while they attended the evening event. Lexus has scheduled another “Ladies Night Out” for February.
