MISS NEVADA HONORED WITH QUALITY OF LIFE AWARD

Miss Nevada Caleche Manos received the Quality of Life award during the Miss America pageant festivities Thursday at the Planet Hollywood Resort.
Manos, who was recognized for her work and contributions with "MADD and the Prevention of Drinking and Driving," will receive a $6,000 scholarship.
Manos was just 17 years old when she lost her only brother to a tragic drunk driving accident.
Miss Florida Kylie Williams was named the first runner-up at the ceremony. Williams' personal platform issue is "Realistic Support For Our Troops, Inc." Miss Oklahoma Makenna Smith, whose personal platform is "Seat Belts Save Lives, What's Holding You Back?," was honored as the second runner-up.
