Mom posts photos of awful sunburn kids got at daycare

A mother in Oklahoma said her two young children are in the hospital after they were severely sunburned while in the care of a daycare.

Shauna Broadway went to pick her kids up from the "Happiness Is A Learning Center" daycare that took the boys to a waterpark on Friday and discovered severe burns on her children. 

"(The employees) were actually making fun of my older son, because both boys got sunburns but he was being a ‘baby’ and crying about it,” Broadway told Buzzfeed News. She said the employees told her they were out of sunscreen and the kids refused to keep their shirts on.

The next morning, her sons were suffering extreme pain and the burns began to blister. They were taken to Hillcrest Medical Center Burn Unit in Tulsa — then they were life-flighted to Shriner's Hospital in Galveston, Texas, according to KOTV.

Broadway filed a police report on Sunday and was trying to find a lawyer. A police officer in Oklahoma said no other children were burned but they are investigating "the criminal element of neglect."
