Pinnacle Homes designs executive-style homes

Although the Las Vegas Valley has experienced tremendous growth with peaks and valleys in the past 20 years, one thing has remained constant: locally owned Pinnacle Homes’ commitment to constructing quality, energy-efficient homes in the Mojave Desert.

For 22 years, the Las Vegas-based builder has merged design aesthetic, energy-efficient building methods and customer-focused service to meet the needs of Southern Nevadans. For four years, Pinnacle’s focus has been on applying its quality and expertise to the construction of luxury estate homes on large lots.

“We design our homes to Southern Nevada’s desert climate. As a local builder, we know firsthand what it’s like to live in the desert. We incorporate features that use less energy and water more effectively and more efficiently, and we choose more durable construction materials that often lead to less maintenance for homeowners,” Production Manager Lonette Nagy said.

“For example, Pinnacle Homes creates a cocoon in the attic by applying insulation to the underside of the roof and R-21 batt insulation in 2 x 6 exterior wall framing. Lying within the attic cocoon is a sealed HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) duct system that, when combined, help creates an air-tight thermal envelope in your home. Because all of the duct work is located within this climate-controlled ‘building envelope,’ energy is not lost into the attic space,” Nagy said.

Each residence includes low-e “smart” windows that can block up to 98 percent of ultraviolet rays, 13-seasonal energy efficiency rating air-conditioning units, 93 percent efficient furnaces, compact fluorescent lighting, high efficiency tankless water heaters, and Energy Star-rated Bosch kitchen appliances. Additionally, each home includes low volatile organic compound interior paint, which helps improve the home’s air quality.

“Constructing homes with these features is better for the environment and our community, and it should help you save you money in utility and maintenance costs while reducing your carbon footprint,” Nagy said.

The Sable Creek community in the northwestern valley is gated with a private park, half-acre home sites, and four home designs with many features already included and numerous customizing opportunities. Prices start from the mid-$500,000s.

Two models are single-story: the 4,056-square-foot Cottage and the 4,713-square-foot Bungalow. Both include four bedrooms and 3½ baths.

The two-story models are the 4,997-square-foot Urban and the 4,995-square-foot Atrium.

Both feature three bedrooms, 3½ baths, office and bonus room. Each home offers design options that add extra bedrooms and baths, and different room configurations.

To visit Sable Creek, take the 215 Beltway to Hualapai Way and travel north. Turn right on Elkhorn Road, and then left on North Grand Canyon Drive, following the signs past Severence Lane, where the neighborhood is on the left. Models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Monday, when they open at noon.

Pinnacle Homes specialize in building semicustom homes by hand-selecting 1/2-acre lots within previously developed custom-home communities and designing homes specific for each lot’s size, shape and community requirements.

“Many of the homes are large single-story residences, which are hard to come by, especially on these large home sites,” Nagy said.

Among the custom neighborhoods are Bright Angel Estates, Palisades Estates and Mountain View Ranch Estates, all in the northwest valley.

Bright Angel Estates is a gated neighborhood of 10 home sites located along Bright Angel Way, between Grand Canyon Drive and Hualapai Way. Two single-story floor plans measuring 4,056 and 4,713 square feet and priced from the mid-$500,000s are featured, with move-ins expected in May. For information, visit the Sable Creek sales office.

Palisades Estates is located at West Craig Road and Conough Lane, just west of Buffalo Drive.

Seven home sites remain in the 20-home neighborhood, where Pinnacle Homes is constructing both single- and two-story residences that range from 4,994 to 5,920 square feet with three to five bedrooms, 3½ to 5 ½ baths, and numerous design options.

The Palisades Estates sales office is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment on weekdays.

Mountain View Ranch Estates is located along Cimarron Road, just south of Craig Road.

There are two single-story homes available for 30-day move-in. For details or to tour home sites, call Patricia Cunningham at 702-301-5040 or Mona Riekki at 702-580-6662.
