Pregnant inmate caught after escaping hospital

A pregnant inmate under guard by a private security company was captured Thursday morning after walking away from a Shreveport hospital while receiving treatment.

Kenterrica Dechante Booker, 21, was reported missing at 8:38 a.m. on Wednesday. She escaped from a guard at Univerty Health after asking to use the restroom.

Booker was pregnant and had been at the hospital since Friday. She was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on Feb. 16 for unauthorized use of a moveable and state probation violation. Her bond was $1,000.

She will be booked into the Caddo Correctional Facility for simple escape.
