Reporter nearly hit by car during live broadcast — VIDEO

A California TV reporter’s live broadcast was cut short when a car came barreling toward him.

While updating viewers on the scene of a derailed train, reporter Alex Savidge was able to jump out of the car’s path just in the nick of time, thanks to a warning from his photographer, Today reported.

Following the incident, numerous people can be heard yelling “Everyone is okay,” and “Alex just got out of the way.”

After returning to the air, Savidge, who was visibly shaken up, shared a hug with the photographer, Chip Vaughan, to thank him for saving his life, Today wrote. He also wanted to send a message to his wife. “I haven’t been able to call her. I just want to tell my wife I’m OK. And my family. In case they hear it online,” he said.
