Students forced to walk outside in heat as punishment

A North Carolina elementary school principal is under investigation after she was accused of making students walk outside in the summer heat without water as a punishment for not wearing their uniforms.
WFHP reported that parents said it happened last Tuesday on the last day of school when about a dozen students wore regular clothes.
The children were ordered to walk outside on a dirt track until their parents brought them their uniforms or took them home for school. WFHP also reported that the children were not allowed to have breakfast at school that morning, either.
According to the Fayetteville Observer, the temperature reached mid-80s by the time the children had stopped walking.
