Watermarke rises with amenities

A selection of amenities and a low-maintenance lifestyle have appealed to buyers at Meritage Homes' Watermarke condominium development in the southwestern valley, according to sales manager John Tuvell.

"Watermarke residents can enjoy recreation opportunities within a short walking distance at the community recreation center. A swimming pool, spa and outside fireplace plus a fitness center are great opportunities for residents to enjoy an active and resort-style lifestyle at home," Tuvell said.

He said the gated development's location along the northern border of the 3,500-acre Mountain's Edge master-planned community has appealed to buyers.

"Plus residents can enjoy the perks of living within the Mountain's Edge master-planned community, where more than 500 acres have been allocated for parks, a trail system and open space and where dining and shopping opportunities are readily available," he said.

Tuvell said homeowners appreciate Watermarke's low-maintenance lifestyle.

"All of the common area landscaping and streetscapes are meticulously maintained by the community association which allows our residents to not worry about landscaping and outdoor maintenance issues that are often associated with homeownership," he said.

"And if you consider the livable designs of the homes and the fact that prices start in the high $100,000s, you'll understand why Watermarke has appealed to many different types of buyers, including first-time homeowners, retirees and those from out-of-state."

Four floor plans are available, measuring from 1,085 to 1,549 square feet.

They are situated within three-, four- and six-plex buildings. Paverstone driveways, desert landscaping and traditional exteriors, some with stone facing, accent each elevation.

The Citrine floor plan is a 1,085-square-foot design featuring two bedrooms, 21/2 baths and two-car garage.

The Insignia design measures 1,309 square feet and includes two master suites, 21/2 baths and a two-car garage.

The Neiman and the Classique models each offer three bedrooms and 21/2 baths, and measure 1,532 and 1,549 square feet, respectively.

Standard features include a patio or deck, and a two-car direct access garage. Customized flooring is available through a design center.

Meritage is also constructing single-family homes within Mountain's Edge.

The builder's Yellowstone community offers single- and two-story homes measuring from 1,267 to more than 3,000 square feet and priced from the low $200,000s.

The gated Summer Trail neighborhood features two-story homes ranging from 2,319 to 3,028 square feet and offering three to six bedrooms and 21/2 to four baths. Summer Trail is priced from the low $300,000s.
