William Lyon builds in the north

William Lyon Homes will hold a grand opening this weekend to debut its three new neighborhoods in the northern region of the valley -- The Fields, The Commons and The Cottages at Centennial Ranch.

"The Fields, The Commons and The Cottages at Centennial Ranch offer a total of 10 two-story floor plans with many design options that will meet the diverse needs of many different types of buyers," said Kim Chitwood, sales and marketing manager.

"Whether you're looking for a three-bedroom home located near a community park, a home in the popular Aliante master-planned community, or a large family home with five bedrooms, a three-car garage and room for a pool, you can find it through William Lyon Homes," she said. "Each neighborhood offers a great location that is close to new stores and restaurants that are being built nearby, plus easy access to the northern (Interstate) 215 beltway."

The Fields is located within the Aliante master-planned community, the two-story neighborhood offers three floor plans measuring from 2,210 to 2,723 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, 2½ to 3 baths, and two-car garages. Homes are priced from $207,000.

"The homes at The Fields are fantastic with open designs and large island kitchens with granite countertops. I believe that the 2,513-square-foot Plan Two will really appeal to buyers because it has five bedrooms, including a first-floor master suite," Chitwood said.

To visit the Fields, take I-215 to Aliante Parkway and head north. Turn left on Elkhorn Road and the neighborhood is on the left.

Also celebrating its grand opening is The Commons. The neighborhood offers three designs that range from 2,254 to 2,727 square feet and offer three to five bedrooms, 2½ to three baths, and three-car garages. Design options per plan include a loft, den, master retreat or extended family room. Prices start from $217,000. First-phase incentives include a $5,000 credit toward options at the builder's design center.

"The Commons has neighborhood charm with only 37 homes total," Chitwood said. "I think that The Commons will appeal to families because of the great gathering areas, bedroom sizes, three-car garages and extra deep rear yards. With home sites as large as 14,000 square feet, there is enough room for a pool, your kids and your toys."

To visit The Commons, take I-215 to Decatur Boulevard, head north toward Grand Teton Drive and follow the signs.

The builder is celebrating the re-opening of The Cottages at Centennial Ranch. Located within the Centennial Ranch community, the gated neighborhood offers four home designs measuring from 1,335 to 1,776 square feet with three to four bedrooms, 2½ baths and two-car garages. Prices start from $115,000.

"The charm and sense of community is enhanced by a private park that includes a grassy sports field, enclosed play ground, picnic areas and walking trails," Chitwood said, adding that all front-yard landscaping maintenance is handled by the homeowner's association.

To visit The Cottages, take I-215 to Losee Road and travel south. Head west on Centennial Parkway, south on Bruce Street and then west on Azure Avenue, following the signs to the gated entrance.

Sales offices at Fields, The Commons and The Cottages at Centennial Ranch are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.

The builder is also preparing for the grand opening of two new single-story neighborhoods: The Crossings and Mountain Falls Series One.

The Crossings, a gated single-story neighborhood near the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Iron Mountain Road in the northwestern valley, will offer designs ranging from 2,652 to 3,068 square feet on home sites measuring up to half acre. Set to open by the end of the year, Mountain Falls Series One will feature four single-story designs measuring from 1,500 to 2,100 square feet within the Mountain Falls master-planned community in Pahrump. Residents will have access to amenities including a public golf course, restaurant, residents' facility with fitness center and swimming pool complex and paved walkways.
