Company acquires second Las Vegas location for alternative workspaces

Premier Business Centers has acquired a second location in Nevada to expand its portfolio of alternative workspaces, with no slowdown in demand, according to the company.

“The days of always going into an office are over, but there’s still a need for a professional environment,” said Mark Burge, director of marketing, who said people are working differently today and want flexibility, not a standalone 15-year lease.

Specializing in full and part-time office spaces, the company offers office space for the week, hour or day and services such as reception, secretarial, and personalized telephone answering.

Appealing to companies incorporated in Nevada but are not based in the state, PBC provides a business address with add-ons such as mail forwarding, voicemail, lobby listing, and notary sessions.

The Augusta Park center at 1489 W. Warm Springs Road in Henderson, at 14,500 square feet, features 49 private office spaces for one to three people, a day office rented by the hour or the day, two conference rooms, a kitchen, courtyard and a reception area. It is about 70 percent occupied.

Competitor Regus is a big player in the alternative workspace market with global locations, and PBC is the largest privately held, according to Burge. Last June, PBC acquired their first location in Nevada, 5940 S. Rainbow Blvd. in Las Vegas, formerly WaterMark Executive Suites. Since 2002, PBC has grown to nearly 80 centers in 10 states and Washington, D.C.
