MountainView Hospital CEO accepts position in Texas

MountainView Hospital CEO Chris Mowan has accepted a position as president and CEO of Medical City Dallas Hospital.

Mowan, who has led MountainView for three years, will officially join the Texas hospital July 25, according to a news release on Medical City Dallas’ website.

Both MountainView and Medical City Dallas are operated by Nashville, Tennessee-based Hospital Corporation of America.

Mowan has been with HCA for more than 20 years.

“Chris is both a strategic and collaborative leader,” said Erol Akdamar, president of HCA North Texas, in the release. “His ability to partner with physicians across a broad range of complex specialties to expand patient care and access will lead Medical City Dallas to the next level of excellence.”

It was not immediately clear who would replace Mowan at MountainView.
