Silver State Schools Credit Union cuts losses

Silver State Schools Credit Union this morning reported as $3.6 million loss, down from $16.8 million for the same quarter a year ago.
The credit union, which serves teachers and other educators, lost $17 million for the first nine months of 2010, down from $40.9 million last year.
American Share Insurance, a private share depositor, insures deposits at Silver State Schools.
