The Park on the Strip will debut April 4

MGM Resorts International said on Tuesday that the Park on the Strip will debut April 4.

In a statement, the company said the Park is envisioned as a "blend of restaurants, bars and entertainment tucked into ... desert landscaping."

The Park is designed to be a central gathering place on the Strip's west side and connect New York-New York and the Monte Carlo along with the 20,000-seat T-Mobile Arena, officials said. Opening night for the arena is April 6.

Confirmed partners for the Park include Shake Shack, Beer Garden, California Pizza Kitchen, Sake Rok and Bruxie.

"We've created a neighborhood environment that invites our guests to explore many of our resorts on the Strip's west side, collecting experiences along the way, with the Park serving as a central gathering space for people to relax, dine and be entertained," Jim Murren, Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International, said in the statement.

The master planner is Cooper, Robertson & Partners. Urban design firm !melk and Marnell Architecture are also collaborating.
