Clark County grand jury indicts man on charges related to YouTube video

A 24-year-old man was charged Wednesday with using the internet to make threats or convey false information concerning acts of terrorism.

Bryce Matthew Cuellar was indicted on a felony charge of making threats or conveying false information concerning acts of terrorism and two gross misdemeanors: conspiracy to commit a crime and attempting to destroy evidence.

According to the indictment, Cuellar posted a video on YouTube on July 1 that showed him “in possession of a sniper rifle and/or an AR-15-type rifle and/or a flak jacket and/or nightvision equipment, threatening to kill people and/or government officials,” whom he referred to as “Satanists and/or homosexual individuals.”

Cuellar was arrested July 1, Clark County Detention Center logs show. According to the indictment, Cuellar conspired with Joshua Cuellar “and/or an unknown individual” on July 4 to delete the video from YouTube.

Bryce Cuellar is being held at the Clark County jail on $100,000 bail, with a preliminary hearing set for Aug. 31, records show.
