After the successful launch of the Broadway Las Vegas and Jazz Roots series, The Smith Center branches out, adding the “Classical & Beyond” and “The Best of the New York Stage” packages featuring artists ranging from opera diva Renee Fleming to Broadway divas Patti LuPone and Audra McDonald.
Joining Fleming in the Classical & Beyond lineup: the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, the Kronos Quartet (premiering a special work by Philip Glass) and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, returning to The Smith Center with music director Joshua Bell.
Another Smith Center returnee, Michael Feinstein, also turns up on the Best of the New York Stage schedule, while performers from Dee Dee Bridgewater to David Sanborn anchor the Jazz Roots schedule.
Subscriptions for all three series go on sale to the public beginning Monday and must be purchased by Sept. 30 at The Smith Center Box Office, 361 Symphony Park Ave., by phone at 702-749-2000 or online at www.thesmithcenter.com.
