Badu, Braxton headline Las Vegas jazz fest

Life Is Beautiful isn't this weekend's only three-day music festival.

The Las Vegas Jazz Festival returns Friday to Southern Nevada — at a new venue, the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. (The previous three festivals took place at the JW Marriott in Summerlin.)

Focusing on R&B and smooth jazz, the festival features Erykah Badu as Friday's headliner; she's scheduled to take the stage at 8:30 p.m., preceded by Daley at 3:45 p.m., Marsha Ambrosius at 5:15 p.m. and Musiq Soulchild at 6:45 p.m.

Toni Braxton anchors Saturday's lineup at 8:30 p.m., preceded by Brian McKnight at 6:45 p.m. Also on Saturday's schedule: Phil Flowers (11:30 a.m.), Shy Girls (12:45 p.m.), Tim Bowman and Elan Trotman (2 p.m.), Kelly Price (3:30 p.m.) and Will Downing (5 p.m.).

On Sunday, the festival runs from noon to 10 p.m., with the Isley Brothers headlining at 8:30 p.m. Las Vegas' own Paul Taylor joins fellow saxophonist Marion Meadows to lead off the lineup at 12:15 p.m., followed by Eric Roberson at 1:45 p.m., Mint Condition at 3:15 p.m., Stephanie Mills at 5 p.m. and Anthony Hamilton at 6:30 p.m.
