Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival returns

The CMTs were last night.

If that accronym registers with you, then you already know that Carrie Underwood is the only one who apparently needed to bother showing up.

More to the point, though, if you’re hip to the CMTs, meaning a fan of country music — and judging from the turnout at Chris Young’s show at Mandalay Bay last week, that includes a couple hundred truckloads of you — this next little bit of information is going to thrill you to pieces:

The Route 91 Harvest Music festival is returning to MGM Resorts Village this fall. Break out the red sharpie and circle Oct. 2-4 on your calendar. The lineup for this year’s fest looks to be as strong as the inaugural edition last year, which included Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton.

There are some serious country contenders booked for this year’s installment, including Flordia Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett, due here in between dates on their Kick the Dust Up tour with Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Thomas, Rhett, Chase Rice, Gary Allen (who just premiered his “Hangover Tonight” video on Billboard), the Cadillac Three and a bunch more.

Festival passes are available for $199, and that price will get you a wristband for admission for all three days. Don’t have that kind of dough? Not to worry. You can evidently pay the premium in installments. Sadly, the same is not true of the Neon Lounge VIP passes, as those are sold out. The full lineup and more specific details are available at rt91harvest.com.

Heck yeah, y’all!
