Trace Adkins playing Smith Center – really

If Penn Jillette and Trace Adkins didn’t see enough of one another while filming “Celebrity Apprentice” — a big if, that one — they have a chance to get together and reminisce about The Donald this weekend.

Adkins is playing The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, of all places Sunday, and we feel relatively safe stating that classical piano great Lang Lang will not be performing “Whoop a Man’s Ass” or “Damn You Bubba” the next night.

The big guy is likely to preview his new and 11th album, “Love Will,” which arrives May 14.

Adkins snubbed all his “Celebrity Apprentice” co-stars, but teamed up with Colbie Caillat, country-rock vets Exile (for a cover of “Kiss You All Over”) and the Harlem Gospel Choir on the new disc.
