Restaurants mark Bastille Day

Thursday is Bastille Day in France, and in Las Vegas it's cause for a number of celebrations. Marche Bacchus French Bistro & Wine Market, 2620 Regatta Drive, will host two jumps into the lake by the Las Vegas Skydiving Team at 7 p.m., and restaurant owner Jeff Wyatt will saber champagne bottles on the terrace.

Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas, 3655 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is offering specials from Thursday through July 20, including Chilled Creme du Berry and an herb-roasted tomato and brie sandwich.

And Mimi's Cafe, which has four locations in the valley, is offering a free two-pack of muffins, including the new Chocolate Mousse Muffin, with a coupon available at www.mimiscafe.com and any purchase on Thursday. Mimi's also has new menu items, including cinnamon brioche french toast and chicken Provence. ...

Tasti D-Lite at Town Square, 6587 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is celebrating its grand opening through Sunday. Events include a free small cup of Tasti D-Lite from 4 to 6 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, plus door prizes, drawings and more. A portion of proceeds from the weekend will be donated to the Children's Heart Foundation. ...

Sushi Roku and Boa Steakhouse at The Forum Shops at Caesars, 3500 Las Vegas Blvd. South, will celebrate their sixth birthday from Sunday through July 21 with $6 sushi rolls, cocktails and appetizers and a $66 omakase menu. A different specialty cocktail and signature appetizer will be offered daily. ...

Strip House at Planet Hollywood, 3667 Las Vegas Blvd. South, will celebrate Monday as National Rainier Cherry Day by featuring Rainier cherries in a number of dishes. ...

Local 7-Eleven stores will celebrate the company's birthday Monday with free 7.11-ounce Slurpees, while supplies last. The location at 4890 W. Tropicana Ave. also will have games, with prizes to be awarded. ...
