Strip Tips: Art, drinks and jobs

Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art always makes art fun when they add wine.

On Wednesday, the gallery will host “Art & Wine: A Perfect Pairing.” This month’s event will honor Andy Warhol, who would have turned 85 years old this month.

The wine will be paired with, what else? The “Warhol Out West” exhibit. The resort’s pastry chefs also are making cupcakes for the posthumous birthday.

The “Perfect Pairing” series runs from 5 to 7 p.m., with an interactive wine and art discussion beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 for members and $38 for nonmembers.

Free drinks

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon at Town Square is giving away free booze.

Every Friday night, women will get complimentary Champagne and their first drink free. You can’t beat that price. The saloon will also hold a series of bar challenges; the winning woman will get $500.

On Saturdays, all guests can imbibe on $5 “bombs” from the drink menu. Smoke Show burgers will be specially priced at $8, too. For more information, call 702-834-4400.

Fright Dome

The calendar may say August but it’s really almost Halloween. At least, for the operators of Fright Dome at Circus Circus.

The haunted attraction is hiring for more than 400 positions. So put on your best scary face and head over to Circus Circus from 2 to 6 p.m. on the following dates: Aug. 17, 18, 24 and 25. On Sept. 7 and 8, auditions will be held from noon to 4 p.m.

Bring a valid government-issued ID and your Social Security card to the main level of the Skyrise Casino. Applicants must be at least 18.
