Ways to drop serious cash on your loved one this weekend in Las Vegas

If you're a lover in Las Vegas, think big on Valentine's Day. Whether it's a $10,000 drink or an adrenaline-packed foray into the life of a race car driver, there's something over-the-top to pump those pheromones.

For starters, when it comes to seeing red — as in, "Valentine" — nothing says "I love you" like going "Full Throttle" in an approximately four-hour, $4,000 package, via Dream Racing.

DREAM RACING

The luxury driving experience offers exotic car racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. That includes the Full Throttle Experience, featuring a red Ferrari 430GT. Couples can purchase the year-round package, complete with pit crew, 40 laps around the track, and more.

"What makes it special, I believe, is the fact that when you experience something that's completely new and unique, and you do it together, it brings you close," said Ado De Micheli, president of Dream Racing.

For those who don't believe love and gasoline mix, the former race car driver and winner of two Italian titles offers hope. Dream Racing has hosted a wedding, he said — complete with bride in full white regalia — and a wedding proposal. The aspiring groom flashed his proposal on a board, pit-stop style.

No time to dally among Lamborghinis and Porsches? Consider the $100,000 "Amour" package for couples, courtesy of Jardin, XS Nightclub, and Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.

FINE DINING? COGNAC?

The experience kicks off with an intimate five-course tasting menu designed by Executive Chef Joseph Zanelli at Jardin, the resort's newest restaurant. The menu features specially prepared oysters, caviar, foie gras, and filet mignon, paired with wines hand-selected by Wine Director Mark Thomas.

A bevy of XS "angels" helps to escort the couple to a table in the club, in a fanfare from start to finish. Service includes the $10,000 Ono cocktail — a concoction of Remy Martin's Louis XIII Black Pearl cognac, Charles Heidsieck 1981 Champagne Charlie, apricot liqueur, and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Don't forget that 18 karat gold XS necklace, set with a small diamond and black pearl, served with the drink. Men receive gold cuff links wrapped in stingray skin.

"It's very eccentric, it's very exclusive, it's very luxurious," said Yannick Mugnier, senior executive director of nightclub operations.

The package also includes a personal message "from him to her" emblazoned on XS's massive screens; a "personalized shout-out" and exclusive onstage experience with DJ Eric D-Lux, along with DJ-friendly seating; two-nights stay in a luxury suite at the hotel; and a couple's massage in the Couple's Suite, at The Spa at Encore.

XS, in its nearly seven-year history, has sold 30 Ono cocktails, according to Mugnier. But at press time, no one has signed up for the "Amour" package, new on the roster this year – although, there've been inquiries, Mugnier said.

Not that he seems worried.

"We were the first to do a million-dollar package," he recalled.

Meanwhile, the theatrical choreography of moving a lucky couple from restaurant to club, to hotel room, is still evolving.

"We are going to do something absolutely amazing," Mugnier promised.

A NIGHT AT NOBU VILLA

You can also stay in the 10,300-square-foot Nobu Villa at Nobu Hotel inside Caesars Palace. It features a three-bedroom, sky-top villa, and 4,700 square-foot outdoor terrace overlooking the Strip, with a Japanese onsen bath.

Price: starting at $35,000 per night. Celebrity experience: priceless. Think Johnny Depp, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift.

COSMOPOLITAN PENTHOUSE

In the market for a heated motherstone? Head to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and book a Valentine's Sahra Suite package, a penthouse extravaganza. For $1,500, enjoy four hours in the suite, a 50-minute couples massage, and a side-by-side 80-minute Red Flower Hammam Experience.

It comes with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, chocolate-covered strawberry amenities, and spa gifts to take home, including lemon coffee blossom olive stone scrub used in the treatment, cardamom amber oil, and a tangerine fig butter cream.

"You have hydrotherapy tubs, and your own television," said Shannon Stringert, director of spa, salon and fitness. "You'll never have to leave the room, and you'll be able to experience a full spa day together. Rather than in other spas, having to split apart." Anything from room service can be ordered up to the suite.

And you can top it off with flowers.

NOT JUST ANY FLOWERS

Amy Di Bella, of family-owned Di Bella Flowers & Gifts in Las Vegas, recalls those who've loved like clockwork.

"Morning, noon, and night, people have sent something to lead up to Valentine's Day," she said. For those who have everything, her mother, Sue, sculpts giant cats, elephants, and other visions from flowers, for $500 and up.

David Pellew, owner of English Garden Florist in Las Vegas, said he'd suggest "anything but roses."

For approximately $5,000, Pellew can whip up an arrangement using hydrangea as a base, with 25 to 30 stems of rare orchids, 50 French tulips, and 30 to 40 peonies, set in a Baccarat crystal vase.

"It's not uncommon for us to have to do one for $3,000, $4,000," he said.

As for over-the-top Valentine activities, there's one rule to live by.

"It's the experience of a lifetime," observed Mugnier. "It's something that you won't be able to reproduce anywhere."
