On Aug. 22, the suspect called for a taxi from a business near Charleston Boulevard and Hualapai Way.

Near Tropicana Avenue and Fort Apache Road, the man got upset and got out of the taxi, police said.

When the driver got out of the vehicle, the man pulled a gun, threatened the driver and then drove off in the taxi, police said.

The taxi was later recovered by police.

The suspect was described by police as a man in his 20s with a medium build, short hair and glasses.
