5 inexpensive music shows in Las Vegas this weekend

Alan Six

Alan Six, a Las Vegas act that got its start when drummer Dave Post bought a drum kit on Craigslist with the desire to learn how to play, is celebrating the release of its new record, “Illuminachos” (streaming on punksinvegas.com), at the Dive on Friday with Undercover Monsters, the Mapes and Melanie & the Midnight Marauders.

Rock N Rattlecan

On Friday, the Bunkhouse Saloon is debuting a bimonthly party called Rock N Rattlecan, and it’s gonna be just what it sounds like, a convergence of music and art. The first one features the Outfit from Denver with Las Vegas’ own Bee Master and Steven R, plus art from Lickwid Hister. The show is $5 and starts at 7 p.m.

The Lique

On Saturday at the Sayers Club at SLS Las Vegas, local band the Lique, which puts on one of the most energetic and enjoyable shows in town, returns to finish up its “Shonuff Soiree” run. The show’s free and doors open at 10 p.m.

Shayna Rain

On Sunday, Shayna Rain is slated to perform at the Bunkhouse, where she’ll be appearing with a bunch of great acts, including fellow local Halsey Harkins as well as Fell Runner and Desert Magic, both from Los Angeles. The show starts at 8:30 p.m., and tickets are $7 at the door.

Tribute acts

With names like Mechanical Manson and Zombiewood, we’re guessing you already have a pretty good idea whose music these two tribute acts are taking on. Catch them at 7 p.m. Saturday at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. Tickets are $10.
