This week’s 5 best bets for music in Las Vegas

Rihanna

Riding high after the release of her album “Anti,” which has produced three solid singles, Rihanna returns to Las Vegas for shows Friday and Saturday at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Tickets range from $36.24 to $252.30; the show is at 7:30 p.m.

The Band Perry

A year after its release, “Live Forever” by the Band Perry is set to send the act to even greater heights this summer as Team USA’s official tune for the Rio Olympics. Get a jump on that groundswell Friday at the Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Tickets start at $35. The show is at 8 p.m.

Eric Church

After his Friday night set at Stagecoach, the country counterpart to Coachella held on the same polo grounds, Eric Church is slated to stop by The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel for shows Saturday and Sunday. Tickets start at $85. The shows are at 8 p.m.

Violent Femmes

Violent Femmes once passed a Prince song that he’d offered up. Victor DeLorenzo told OnMilwaukee.com that the band thought the tune was too titillating to push. You won’t hear that one Thursday at Brooklyn Bowl, but odds are you’ll hear hits such as “Blister in the Sun.” Tickets are $35 to $60; the show is at 8:30 p.m.

Billy Idol

If you didn’t catch Billy Idol during the first half of his House of Blues run in March, you’ll still have a few more chances to do so starting Wednesday, when the ’80s icon resumes his residency, playing the first of a half dozen more dates. Tickets start at $79.50; the show is at 7 p.m.
