Calvin Harris hurt in Los Angeles car crash, cancels Las Vegas show

DJ superstar Calvin Harris has scrapped his Saturday night performance in Las Vegas after a car crash in Los Angeles on Friday night, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Harris was set to perform Saturday night at Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace. He performs weekly in Las Vegas at Hakkasan Nightclub at MGM Grand, Omnia and Wet Republic Ultra Pool at MGM Grand.

In a Facebook post, his team said Harris (his real name is Adam Richard Wiles) would miss a Saturday night performance in Las Vegas and would be resting a few days to recover.

“Adam’s transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport,” the post said. “As a result he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days.”

Harris, who has dated Taylor Swift, suffered facial cuts above his nose and left a hospital after briefly seeing doctors, authorities told the Times.

The Times reported that he was in a Cadillac SUV traveling on Coldwater Canyon south of Ventura Boulevard about 11 p.m. when a Volkswagen Beetle made a tight turn and crashed head on into the SUV in Sherman Oaks.

At least one of the five passengers in the Beetle suffered a broken pelvis and the driver was a 16-year-old girl, police said.
