Clark County School District to hold 2 information fairs for families

The Clark County School District will hold two free public fairs before classes resume Aug. 29 to help families prepare for the 2016-17 school year.

The fairs will feature information booths for several district departments that handle transportation, zoning, school choice, equity and diversity and other central services, according to a news release. Students also can receive mandatory immunizations at shot clinics offered at the fairs, the release reads.

Families can attend the Saturday, Aug. 20 event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Boulevard Mall, 3528 S. Maryland Parkway.

The final back-to-school fair runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Downtown Summerlin, 1980 Festival Plaza Drive.
